An Address to the Arab Muslim Women (16/32)

You were under stress; there was violence all around you. You got scared.
You did feel alone and desolate. You cried out for help, but nobody cared.

Being raised to be fearful as a child, as a grown-up for nothing you get scared.
You may look fine outwardly, but inwardly you certainly feel terribly scarred.

You fit nowhere. You are rejected. You sure are desolate, yet you must be proud.
You are special, unique, i.e. you are one in a million; you are not one the crowd.

There’re topics you would like to talk about and, other things to share.
But there is nobody to talk to. Even if there were any, you won’t dare.

You were made to be afraid of monsters, God, hell, Satan. That was not fair.
But be assured. You’re all safe and secure. There’s nothing, nobody to fear.

You are not protected when your life is threatened, and feel very insecure.
Just as you are abandoned when you are ill, and are provided with no cure.

Do not be too self-centered, self-absorbed. Do not think of yourself only.
You may be more fortunate than those who are more afflicted and lonely.

You're doing fine. So, don't panic. Keep calm. Let go.
You soon will feel relief, no matter what you undergo.

For all you go through you cannot always be cheerful. You could be sad.
But you’re supposed to look all the time jovial, even if it’s only a facade.

We need not ask your point of view about things. We can guess by the way you look.
Happy, you see things beautiful; sad, you see them ugly. It depends on your outlook.

One day you think that one thing is bad; the next, you think that it is good.
Things remain the same. They do not change. What changes is your mood.

The way you feel, think, whether you are loving or hostile,
All's reflected and revealed in your demeanor and lifestyle.

You think that people smile or frown you. It's not people, it's you, They only reflect,
like a mirror, what  you do feel inside you, whether it is peace, harmony or conflict.

You are expected to be obedient, never to protest, and say always ‘Amen”.
Whereas they are free to do and say all they want, because they are men.
