An Address to the Arab Muslim Women (17/32)

You’re made to follow precepts without questioning them and behave as you’re told.
They are all of them false, yet they look like genuine. But all that glitters is not gold.

For decades you held so many beliefs, and behaved just as you were taught.
Then you discover that those beliefs were all wrong, not as you had thought.

You sure are able to overcome your difficulties and will cope,
No matter the conditions, be brave. Never lose faith and hope.

You’ll see light at the end of the tunnel, and will not be at the end of your rope.
While there is hope there is life, and vice versa, while there is life there is hope.

“Hobble your camel and trust in God.* In other words, so do trust in God,
But protect yourself. Do not think of Him as if He were your bodyguard.

Be courageous. Never give up hope. For so a long time nothing seems to happen.
All of a sudden, you see the light at the end of the tunnel, and doors start to open.

All men think they are omniscient, but they’re uncertain; they grope,
“Our ignorance”, says William James, “ is a sea, our science a drop.

Just as you look where you put your feet when you walk,
You ought to be very careful and mindful when you talk.

You watch what you say. You do not repeat like a parrot
All those ready made sentences you have learned by rote.

The way you feel, think, whether you are loving or hostile,
All's reflected and revealed in your demeanor and lifestyle.

You live in reality. You do not fantasize; daydream.
Just as you sure go not against, but with the stream.

You’ll overcome all obstacles. You’ll break this iron curtain,
Which is standing in your way. you will succeed, for certain.

Men had put now the world in such a mess. All you see is hatred, war and violence.
It is high time for women to intervene for establishing love peace and benevolence.

Apart from making out of them machines to kill,
Many men now could hardly be taught any skill.
