An Address to the Arab Muslim Women (24/32)

You don't shake even if you get a big blow, a nock.
You are unaffected; you remain steady like a rock.

That had already happened several times, but you found your way out.
In case it happens again, you will find your way out. There's no doubt.

You have suffered for a long time without consolation.
You can be subjected to no more harm and tribulation.

What you are going through is certainly a reality, not only a bad dream,
But no one pays heed to your pain, nor does one hear you if you scream.

If any of you has a feeling of nausea, and gets a sense of vertigo,
That’s because of the ill treatment she constantly has to undergo.

Your suffering is not something you can explain,
Becase it might not be that easy, simple and plain.

Hence, it is hard for the uninitiated to discern.
Besides, it’s yours, and nobody else’s concern.

You face your hardship with calmness and serenity. You do not complain.
You don't talk about it either, because it is not something you can explain.

We trust there must be a meaning for this pain
And have a firm belief that it is not all in vain.

Miracles do happen. One can happen to you after all these years.
You shall overcome all your fears and shall no longer shed tears.

Surely, with might and main
You shall overcome your pain.

Don’t close your ears; do listen to people but don’t pay attention to all they would say.
Keep your eyes open. Look but don’t be too affected, however painful, by all you see.

Sometimes you think that something is damaged forever, but it only needs repair.
Just as there sure is a way out when you are stuck. There is no reason for despair.

Even if you feel unhappy, still act as if you're happy. You'll find
yourself transformed by changing your behavior and your mind.
