An Address to the Arab Muslim Women (9/32)

You sure are not fooled seeing a man kissing a woman’s hand.
Down low in his brain he may be kicking her, you understand.

You speak the same language, yet you can’t communicate.
That is why you repress, hold everything in; you suffocate.

Language is only a tool. Two persons speaking the same language may not have much
To say to each other if they think and feel differently. Their viewpoints may not match.

He doesn’t treat you as a human being to educate;
He regards you as animal to tame, to domesticate.

What you claim to be your own convictions, your thesis
Are but what you were made to believe under hypnosis.

“You are attractive only if you use cosmetics and perfume.”
He’s totally wrong, but that’s what he makes you assume.

Instead of just eating and drinking, i.e. being only a consumer, you have to be a producer.
So, use no longer cosmetics in order to be attractive, in other words, stop being a seducer.

All he cares about is creating more goods for you to consume.
That is the only thing he has in mind and thinks of, I presume.

Their talk is all air and no sense. Remember always this. Don’t forget.
Bear in mind that all you’re promised will never be what you will get.

You think we can do nothing about destiny. Yet you can change your predestination,
As you can change your mind about going somewhere, by changing your destination.

On hearing all you are promised to get, you rejoice and exclaim, "How nice!"
However, whether you will get something or not, it must not be at any price.

You may not know much about him; he is like a stranger.
For this reason he may frighten you as if facing a danger.

With other men's wives, he behaves with all elegance,
Whereas with you, as his wife, he acts with arrogance.

He takes possession of everything you own
And have got through an effort of your own.
